Pedigree 1 Introduction

This is the branch of the family who lived at Cloghan and Ballyverine in County Cork in the 16th and 17th Centuries and those whom form Part One of the family history.  However you should be aware that families of Pedigree 1 and Pedigree 2 inter-married.  As a result you may find that people that you expect to find in Pedigree 1 also appear in Pedigree 2 and vice versa.  A good example of this is the branch of Pedigree 2 that settled, and still live, in France.  They appear both in Pedigree 2, where they belong, being descended from a Mr. Coppinger of Pedigree 2 but they also appear in Pedigree 1 because they are descendants of a Pedigree 1 Miss Copinger who married a Pedigree 2 Mr. Coppinger.  

This family tree is very much a work in progress and as taken from our database on 1st January 2004.  We do not guarantee that what is there is 100% correct.  If you have any information that would allow us to correct any errors or omissions we would love to here from you.

Please Note that this family tree intentionally incomplete. This is for the protection of the privacy of living individuals (and in compliance with the UK Data Protection Act).  Where we know that a person is still living or have no evidence that a person born after 1910 is dead then no details are provided other than 'Living'.  For example my grandfather, Harold Bernard Copinger is included in Pedigree 1 with three children.  Details are only provided for two of them.  The one still living is identified only as 'Living'.  If you find that you are included, it does not mean that we believe that you are dead, it means I failed to delete your details before publishing the information for which I apologise.  Please let me know so I can delete your details as soon as possible.  If you are a member of this branch of the family and would like your details to be included please also let us know, in writing, and we will include you.  We will not accept a request from anyone other than yourself.
